Which level is right for you?

Which level is right for you?

Higher levels generally do more automatically in harder places, like busy restaurants, cars and group conversations. Standard suits many people who spend most of their time at home or in quieter places.

You don’t need to decide now. After your hearing test, your audiologist will recommend a level for your hearing and the way you live, and you can try them before you pay.

Bring your current hearing aids to your appointment, whether they’re from the NHS or a high-street provider. During your trial you can compare them side by side with new ones, in the places you find hardest. We can’t reprogram hearing aids fitted by Hidden Hearing or Amplifon, so we’ll tell you honestly what we can and can’t do with yours.

Online checks can tell you whether to get your hearing tested. They can’t look in your ears or measure your hearing in a quiet room the way a full test does, and they can’t fit hearing aids. If an online check suggests a problem, book a full hearing test.
