In The Ear (ITE) Hearing Aids
Small, simple, easy to use
One-piece concealed hearing aidsIn the ear hearing aids are the most popular style of digital hearing aid. Their simple, one-piece construction lend themselves to many hours of comfortable and satisfactory use.
An impression of the inside of your ear is taken by an Interhearing Audiologist to ensure that the shell of the hearing aid is made to exactly match the contours within your ear.
Types of In-The-Ear Hearing Aids
In-The-Ear (ITE)
There are two options to choose from: Half-Shell (fill part of the ear) and Full-Shell (fill all the ear). These types of hearing aid offer superior battery life compared to “In-The-Canal” hearing aids and are easier to operate; however, they are less discrete.

In-The-Canal (ITC)
More discrete than an ITE, as these sit partly inside the ear canal, however battery life may be shorter. Feedback is reduced due to greater isolation, and many models come with wireless functionality.

Completely-in-Canal (CIC)
This type of hearing aid is more discrete as it sits fully inside the ear canal. Certain models may have fewer features due to their reduced size.

Invisible-in-Canal (IIC)

One-piece construction means these are smaller, less visible, and easier to fit than NHS hearing aids.
