How to fit your Oticon hearing aid
It’s important that your hearing aid is fitting properly in your ear. If it isn’t it may fall out, start making a whistle sound and affect the sound quality. You know when the hearing aid is in your ear properly because the wire that comes down from the hearing aid to your ear is touching your ear all the way down.
How to remove your Oticon hearing aid
In order to remove your Oticon hearing aid from your ear, pinch the thin wire close to the entrance of your ear, slowly pull the dome out of the ear, and lift the hearing aid away from your ear. Roughly yanking on the aid could cause the dome to come off in your ear or damage the thin wire. Sometimes looking in a mirror may help.
How to recharge your Oticon hearing aids
Plug the charger into a power source. The light at the base will show green. The temperature in the room should be between 5 and 35 Celsius. Once the hearing aids are inserted, the light will turn red initially. The LED light will switch back to green once the hearing aids are fully charged. The hearing aids will turn on automatically when removed from the charger.
30 minutes of charge will provide 6 hours of use, 3 hours of charge will provide a full day. Placing the hearing aid on charge will turn it on/off automatically.

How to change the Oticon hearing aid dome
Changing the dome will help keep ear wax from getting into the filter. It is less likely the hearing aid will block with wax if this is done.
However, cleaning the dome is something that can also be done if it is not practical to change the dome so often. This is usually best done at night when you take the hearing aids out. It can prolong the life of your hearing aid and help keep it operating at its optimum. Take a baby wipe or alcohol wipe and gently wipe any wax that it sitting on the dome away. Do not use alcohol wipes on the hearing aid shell.
