I took my 9yo son to see Julie to remove a build up of wax in one of his ears. He had issues with his ears (especially after swimming) for years, and as a result, he was very uncomfortable with the idea of anything or anyone going near them. He could not have made it much more difficult for Julie than he did - wriggling and squirming and getting upset, but Julie was incredibly patient. It was only Julie’s kind temperament and wealth of experience which allowed us to get the treatment finished and avoid the whole process being too traumatic for my little lad. He and I are both incredibly grateful we found Julie and we could not recommend her highly enough.read more

Highly recommend. The Consultant was thorough, caring and listened carefully. He undertook several tests and gave a full explanation of why I was experiencing the issues with helpful advice. It's rare these days to find someone who genuinely cares. Excellent service.read more

Lost my hearing due to swimming and flight back from holiday doctors diagnosed wax was the problem and referred me for treatment but waiting list was 2 months !! Only partial hearing in one hear coming and going could not wait as I could not work . looked on internet and managed to get a appointment at Shrewsbury the following day was easy to book Julie sorted out my hearing in 20 mins so grateful to her so nice and professional interhearing provides a excellent service and are highly recommendedread more

Saw Julie for ear wax removal but was difficult due to a recent ear infection. She was very caring and arranged for me to return when my ear was better. Some time later I returned and my ear was clear, but Julie had managed to remove most of the wax on the first visit. She is a lovely lady and we had some amazing chats. Many thanks Julie. Would highly recommend this. I had been "deaf " for 6 weeks and at my wits end as cannot have syringing method. Discovered interhearing and decided to try it. Best money I ever spent. Over in a flash. Julie was amazingly understanding and professional.i would not hesitate to return if and when needed. Thank you so very much for returning me to normality. Appointment made very quickly, 3 days. Quoted 20 weeks for the NHS! Saw Julie who was great. Although my wax was very difficult to remove she did it very carefully and gave me great advice to keep future wax problems down to a minimum. I would highly recommend Interhearing for wax removal.read more

Arranged a speedy appointment at Nuffield Hospital, Wolverhampton for my teenage daughter for wax removal in both ears. We saw Julie who was excellent. She was very personable and put us both totally at ease. We were out within 10 minutes and the problem was dealt with.read more

NHS could do nothing for impacted wax in my ear after suffering for over a week! Contacted Interhearing and they gave me a next day appointment at one of their clinics near to my home which I attended this morning.All wax removed in 30 minutes by a professional clinician and I can now hear perfectly.Thank You

Brilliant!If you suffer from ear wax build up, then you'll know the usual scenario - slowly your hearing deteriorates and you start to enter your own private world, isolated from everyone else. So you ring the doctors to organise an ear syringe and (if your doctors surgery is as busy as mine) they say 'sorry, the nurse can't do it for 2 weeks' and you end up putting oil in one ear for all that time, pretty much removing what final hearing you had left, so you go completely deaf on one side. Then you get your one ear syringed and if you're lucky all the wax comes out, but if it doesn't, you have to book a second appointment. Then, once you get one ear sorted, all you have to do is repeat the whole process again for the other ear! For me, the overall result is that, on average, every 10 months or, so I lose my hearing in one ear or the other for a complete month.Well, not any more! One simple trip to Interhearing (sometimes with SAME DAY appointments available) and I am good to go. John is superb - very diligent / thorough and the process itself isn't painful (just quite loud sucking noises, because it's close to your eardrum). Twenty minutes or so and I have perfect hearing again in both ears. John then books you in for a second appointment a week or so later (all within the standard charge) to check that everything has settled down OK.No waiting, no oiling, no hassle. Absolutely superb - the best £65 I've spent in a long time!read more

The whole experience was very positive from making contact to the completion of the treatment. The office staff were friendly and efficient, there was a change of venue and they made absolutely sure I was aware of it. The consultant gave me a full explanation including showing me photos. He completed the treatment sensitively showing me pictures of the result and followed up with further advice. It was a relief to be able to hear again!read more

I was seen promptly by a gentleman who examined me very thoroughly and not only removed the wax from my ears, but also removed some of the hair which was aggravating the situation. he was polite, kind and eager to listen to any comments I was making. the experience was pleasant and satisfying.
