Brilliant! If you suffer from ear wax build up, then you'll know the usual scenario - slowly your hearing deteriorates and you start to enter your own private world, isolated from everyone else. So you ring the doctors to organise an ear syringe and (if your doctors surgery is as busy as mine) they say 'sorry, the nurse can't do it for 2 weeks' and you end up putting oil in one ear for all that time, pretty much removing what final hearing you had left, so you go completely deaf on one side. Then you get your one ear syringed and if you're lucky all the wax comes out, but if it doesn't, you have to book a second appointment. Then, once you get one ear sorted, all you have to do is repeat the whole process again for the other ear! For me, the overall result is that, on average, every 10 months or, so I lose my hearing in one ear or the other for a complete month. Well, not any more! One simple trip to Interhearing (sometimes with SAME DAY appointments available) and I am good to go. John is superb - very diligent / thorough and the process itself isn't painful (just quite loud sucking noises, because it's close to your eardrum). Twenty minutes or so and I have perfect hearing again in both ears. John then books you in for a second appointment a week or so later (all within the standard charge) to check that everything has settled down OK. No waiting, no oiling, no hassle. Absolutely superb - the best £65 I've spent in a long time!

The whole experience was very positive from making contact to the completion of the treatment. The office staff were friendly and efficient, there was a change of venue and they made absolutely sure I was aware of it. The consultant gave me a full explanation including showing me photos. He completed the treatment sensitively showing me pictures of the result and followed up with further advice. It was a relief to be able to hear again!

I was seen promptly by a gentleman who examined me very thoroughly and not only removed the wax from my ears, but also removed some of the hair which was aggravating the situation. he was polite, kind and eager to listen to any comments I was making. the experience was pleasant and satisfying. PS. I do not understand why my name appears as Richard Kaye. This is my son's name, but he lives Japan! My name is Kyriacos Kaye

The best £65 I’ve spent. Service was excellent at the Radbrook Surgery, Shrewsbury. I was looked after by Julie. And now I can hear again.

NHS could do nothing for impacted wax in my ear after suffering for over a week! Contacted Interhearing and they gave me a next day appointment at one of their clinics near to my home which I attended this morning. All wax removed in 30 minutes by a professional clinician and I can now hear perfectly. Thank You Gordon

Disappointed. I've had an appointment booked for weeks. The evening before the appointment at 18:20, a voicemail was left on my mobile saying that I was double booked and that I should call back. This message came from a witheld number. When I called the main office, I found that it was outside of their office hours. Of course the out of hours lady I spoke to had no idea about the problem and could could offer no assistance. This was all quite concerning as they send you an aggressive email warning that if you cancel within 24 hours, you will be fined. I was concerned that if the appointment was actually still in place, I would be fined for not attending. Interestingly, this warning email was sent to me within the last 24 hours. So you hear about this fine too late to avoid should you be thinking about rearranging or not attending. I'm disappointed they chose to cancel my appointment in a clash with another person with no explanation. I'm disappointed that they can possibly book two people into the same slot and realise less than a day before the appointment. I'm disappointed they informed me out of hours so that I could not call back and speak to anyone with any information. Bearing in mind that my appointment was first thing the next morning. I'm yet to decide if I should fine Interhearing for cancelling within 24 hours. Perhaps this rule only works one way.

My first ear microsuction and it was quick (about 10 minutes), easy, painless and with no fuss. My ears are all clear and I can hear properly again. The appointment started more or less on time. Happy customer.
